Celebrating 60 years of marriage is quite an accomplishment, not to mention a blessing to see in a day when so many marriages are falling apart. I was thrilled for the opportunity to design this special anniversary invitation. The children hosting the event weren’t sure of what they wanted for the specific design, but they were sure that they wanted to somehow include a wedding picture of their parents. I was also informed that lavender is the main color used for decorating this sweet event.

It took me a while to come up with a design that I felt would be classy yet simple and incorporate the elements that the family wanted. Thankfully I have a great husband who doesn’t mind critiquing my work and giving me ideas. This cover design was done by adding and editing several layers in Photoshop. Below is the finished cover along with the original scanned photo that I used as the focal point of the design. Click on the images to view larger versions.
