In working on a new WordPress theme design for a client, I wanted to incorporate a slider on the home page to display images that would link to specific pages/posts of the website. I wanted it to be simple and user friendly as well as customizable including some nice transition effects. The plugin I went with is Meteor Slides, and I LOVE it! As a note, I replaced Smooth Slider with Meteor Slides instead because I don’t need to feature a post, and because I found it to be much more user friendly and lighter. However, if you are looking for a featured posts image slider or one that allows text and images, the notes below still apply.
I’ve been working on a new project for an acne treatment company, and I’ve incorporated Smooth Slider into the theme. I’m so pleased with the results! There are many ways to access site analytics, and many people choose to use Google analytics for this. I do use Google for my blogger site, but for WordPress, I much prefer to use the StatPress plugin. I have had nothing to do with it’s development (I wouldn’t even know where to begin that whole process!), and I have also not been asked by the creator to push this in anyway.
